§ Terms of Service
Terms of Service.
Read before you rely on a score.
The BMC Evaluator is a free, public research instrument. By submitting a canvas you agree to these terms. They explain what the tool is, what its output is and isn't, and the limits of our responsibility.

Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Evaluator you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the revised version.
What the service is
The Evaluator scores a business model canvas against a published academic framework (the Non-Compensatory Threshold Assessment Canvas, Maalaoui 2026). It is provided free of charge for educational and research purposes, with no service-level commitment and no guarantee of availability.
AI-generated output
Scores, verdicts, red flags, and written feedback are generated by a large language model (Anthropic's Claude). They are automated, probabilistic, and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inconsistent between runs. The output is a structured opinion produced by software — not professional, legal, financial, investment, or business advice, and not a substitute for due diligence or qualified human judgement.
No reliance
Do not make funding, hiring, legal, or other consequential decisions on the basis of an evaluation alone. You are solely responsible for independently verifying anything the tool tells you before acting on it.
No warranty
The service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any score reflects the real-world viability of a venture.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither MBSC nor the project's authors or operators shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service or its output — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This is a free service; nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Your submissions
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or contain unlawful material. Do not submit secrets, personal data about other people, or anything you are not free to share with a US-based AI sub-processor. How submissions are stored, anonymized, and purged is described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Because the service runs a paid AI model on every submission, automated, bulk, or abusive use is prohibited. Don't attempt to overwhelm, scrape, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the rate limits and bot protections of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address on the Privacy Policy page.
